Fees do apply to Gift Aid, but the rate at which these are applied is different from that on the original donation. On the original donation two types of fee apply. The first type of fee is a nonprofit support fee that varies from 5% to 12% according to the amount of funds an organization has raised on the GlobalGiving platform and the registered country of the organization. The second type of fee is a 3% third party processing fee that is assessed on most donations. However, fees on Gift Aid are always a flat 5% regardless of other factors.
