What should I do if I receive a suspicious message claiming to be from GlobalGiving?

Stop all communication. Don't send money or share personal information.

  1. Verify with us directly. Contact GlobalGiving through our official website at globalgiving.org/contact to confirm whether any communication is genuine. Do not use contact information provided in the suspicious message itself.
  2. Report it to GlobalGiving. Forward suspicious emails or screenshots to help@globalgiving.org so we can investigate and warn others.
  3. Report to authorities. Depending on your location:
    • United States: Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov and the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at ic3.gov
    • United Kingdom: Action Fraud at actionfraud.police.uk
    • Other countries: Your national cybercrime authority, local police, or consumer protection agency
