How can I tell if a GlobalGiving job offer is legitimate?

Scammers sometimes impersonate GlobalGiving to recruit people for fake jobs.

They may advertise remote positions such as personal assistants, administrative staff, or donation processing roles. These fraudulent offers may ask you to receive and transfer funds on our behalf, or may request sensitive personal documents such as government-issued ID, Social Security numbers, or banking information as part of a fake onboarding process.

GlobalGiving will never:

  • Hire people to collect or forward donations through personal bank accounts or payment apps.
  • Ask you to receive or transfer funds on our behalf.
  • Request sensitive personal or financial information through an unofficial recruiting process.

If a job offer seems suspicious, do not provide personal information or send money.
