We know it's important to understand how your donation is being put to work. GlobalGiving shares updates with donors throughout a disaster response and recovery.
Depending on the scale of the disaster, donors who provide an email address may receive an initial update within the first few weeks, followed by updates at least quarterly. These updates may include information about:
- The relief and recovery efforts supported by the fund
- The nonprofit organizations receiving funding
- How funding is being used as the response progresses
- Stories, photos, and videos that show the work being carried out
Updates can continue well beyond the immediate response as funding supports longer-term recovery efforts. You can also visit a disaster fund's Reports section on GlobalGiving to follow its progress over time.
